HERON TUTORIAL

Draw this Heron with me in real-time where I show you step-by-step exactly what to do to achieve a detailed, realistic drawing. Some key techniques I'll teach you are how to draw feathers, drawing large-scale and adding elements of water.
PAPER
I'm using the heavier weight 300LB Saunders Waterford paper in this tutorial, however I no longer recommend this paper. It's very soft and spongey and only works for certain subjects. Alternatively I recommend using Fabriano Artistico Hot Pressed Watercolour Paper or the Strathmore 300 Series Bristol Vellum as it's perfect for students and beginners.
