My time in the Masai Mara in Kenya was one of the most magical experiences of my life. This particular pack of lion cubs were the first big cats we saw while on safari, and my good friend Matthew Hemstock photographed this breathtaking shot I used as a reference. Seeing this animal with my own eyes made drawing it all the more special.

This original study of a Lion Cub has been created using professional grade coloured pencils on hot pressed watercolour paper.
 
The artwork measures 8x11" and will be mounted to 11x14".
