TREE BRANCH TUTORIAL
FUNDAMENTALS
Drawing elements of the environment is an important part of wildlife art. When drawing birds, your subject will often be captured perching on a branch. In this tutorial, I show you how to draw a tree branch with lichen and moss so that you can incorporate it into your wildlife drawings.
PAPER
I'm using the heavier weight 300LB Saunders Waterford paper in this tutorial, it's very soft and velvety. If you can't get the same paper just use whatever you like best or can get your hands on!
Alternatively I recommend using the Strathmore 300 Series Bristol Vellum as it's perfect for students and beginners.
